Since the dawn of mankind, humanity has asked a simple question — “Why?” This question puzzled the multitudes until they attempted to answer it with myths of gods and goddesses. They did not know why there was lightening, so they said it was god. They did not understand tornadoes, or hurricanes, or earthquakes, or diseases, so they said it was god.

But God is not real. God is nothing but a myth. There is no invisible man in the sky controlling all of reality. Unfortunately, the Christian belief in God is the current prevalent understanding of God throughout much of Western civilization. It shouldn’t be.

Aside from there being no evidence for the validity of the Christian God’s existence, the Bible can’t be true, given that a basic promise given all throughout it, namely that prayer works, is simply false. Prayer doesn’t work. The Bible is wrong. Aside from the prayer falsehood, the Bible is also wrong regarding the key aspects of Christianity itself — the crucifiction. You can’t trust the Bible. Christianity is wrong.

Aside from simply not being true, Christianity is also immoral — the Christian God is evil. Not only is he the author of sin, he decided to allow sin in the first place, and condemns generally good people to eternal damnation, pain, screaming and the gnashing of teeth. Then, to save murderers, rapists and thieves Christianity is evil because at its crux it destroys the only good man to walk the face of the earth for the sake of the evil.

We at Rational Christianity have deconverted. We were once eager Christians, wanting to review our faith. But when we reviewed the faith, we discovered that we were horribly wrong. We discovered that life has meaning without God. We discovered that the Biblical account represented a character that was nothing at all like what we were told.
